RAM

Memory isn't the primary business here, but please do ask. Since prices are volatile, and there are so many types, the only RAM in stock is used RAM. We can offer good pricing on this used RAM (listed here), and reasonable rates on new RAM that I can order for you. Get your best price elsewhere and then email us to see if we can do better.

Making a Purchase

It's often best to arrange a purchase by phone, particularly if you have many questions or issues to discuss. If it's a simple purchase, like a USB card, for example - or if you know just what you want and only have a few simple questions - email is fine. Another reason to call is to reserve an item as soon as possible, in case of limited availability. (704-597-6222, best time is between 10am-7pm EST.) If no one is available to take the call, we're usually able to return calls promptly. Email is also fine for general interest questions, but please avoid emailing a list of 10 questions, and call instead.

Payment options: We accept Paypal payments, which are currently our only way of taking credit cards. Specify "sales@baucomcomputers.com" as the recipient. Cashier's checks or money orders are also fine. Personal checks in advance are accepted, but require a 5-Business day wait to clear. You need to place the order before sending any payment. Checks and money orders should be sent to:

Shipping: Most items are shipped through UPS. (USPS is sometimes used for small items.) Other companies like FedEx or DHL can be used if you prefer. UPS Ground shipping is used unless you specify another method. In the contiguous U.S., Ground shipping rates for a desktop Mac vary between $23 - $68, depending on location and weight. Air rates are higher. Usually items can be shipped shortly after payment is received (same day or days after).

Trade-ins: Accepted in trade are desktop Macs with at least a G4 processor and PowerBooks with at least a 300Mhz processor. And some peripherals as well. When emailing about your item(s) to trade, include system configuration (Mhz, RAM, hard drive).

Baucom Computers does not employ a certified Apple tech, so we will not have answers for the highest technical questions.

International orders are accepted (prepaid money order only), although overseas shipping costs can be prohibitive with desktops.
